Adam Holmes-Davies earned a BA (Hons) from the Surrey Institute of Art and Design in 1996. Following several years of travel across Eastern Europe and North America, he completed an MA in Fine Art at Chelsea College of Art and Design, London, in 2006.

Recent exhibitions include Dear Luke, Dear Adam (with Luke Dowd) at Kingsgate Project Space, London (2023). Group exhibitions include Magpie's Eye, The Tom and Chai Hall Collection, Alton, UK (2025), Saturday Soup, [Space Studios], London (2024); Cat Flap Blink, Terrace Gallery, London (2024); YOUR FOOT IN MY FACE and other tectonic strategies, Kingsgate Project Space, London (2021); The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Charlie Smith Gallery, London; and Works on Paper, Vue par Défaut, Galerie d’Art Contemporain, Sauve, France (2016).

Holmes-Davies was selected for Bloomberg New Contemporaries in 2007 by Michael Landy, Nigel Cooke, and curator Linda Norden. He won the Painting Category of the Salon Art Prize in 2012 and was awarded second prize in the Barbican Arts Trust Open the same year. Additional recognition includes an Eaton Fund award (2018) and Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice grant (2020).

Holmes-Davies lives and works in London, continuing to develop a distinctive body of work grounded in process, narrative, and painterly exploration.
